Meet Cindy
Founder of Espavo Healing & Wellness

Cindy Valenzuela is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in New Mexico and the founder of Espavo Healing & Wellness. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of New Mexico, a CACREP-accredited program, and brings over 15 years of experience supporting individuals across clinical, educational, and community-based settings.
Cindy is trained in evidence-based trauma treatments, including EMDR and Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM), and integrates modalities such as CBT, DBT-informed skills, somatic awareness, and mindfulness-based interventions. Her clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that honors the mind–body connection and supports nervous system regulation, resilience, and long-term healing.
In addition to her clinical practice, Cindy offers holistic wellness and coaching services that draw from her training as an Usui Reiki Master and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500). Her yoga background includes certifications in Tantra Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Hot Shakti, supporting embodied awareness, energetic balance, and spiritual integration. These non-clinical offerings incorporate Reiki-informed energy work, yoga-based practices, breathwork, meditation, and spiritually integrative frameworks for clients seeking personal growth, alignment, and mind–body–spirit connection.
Cindy’s approach is integrative, compassionate, and deeply rooted in the belief that healing occurs on multiple levels—mental, emotional, physical, energetic, and spiritual. She works collaboratively with clients to meet them where they are, whether they are seeking clinical therapy, holistic coaching, or a blended path toward wholeness and self-actualization.
